Three Non-Hyped Pitching Prospects Who Could Have Fantasy Value in 2007

A TSB writer gives us three guys you should still keep an eye on.

Stephen Paul Webb
TSB Staff Writer

Every year there are guys that seemingly come out of nowhere to find spots and produce on championship fantasy rosters. Last year we had Broxton, Ethier, Miner, and Chuck James - all of whom spent time on one of my fantasy teams. Who can forget Francisco Rodriguez in 2002, long before he was "K-Rod", stepping in and helping the Angels win the World Series?

You never know which non-hyped call up is going to make a difference for your fantasy season. Anyone can predict that the Jered Weaver's, Cole Hamels's and Delmon Young's of the world are going to be productive contributors when they come up. Organizations like Baseball America have been touting these guys since they were in high school as being the next big thing and a lot of the popular fantasy baseball magazines have picked up on the prospects and have started hyping the top guys so that even the most casual baseball fan knows who they are.
