Would you want to be rich and well on the road to poor health once your career was over? I think staying clean and still getting exorbitant amounts of cash and not risking your health would make more financial sense. You have more time to enjoy your riches.

ooooh questions....let's see....***************************************** 1) Who in 15 years will have their number retired by what teams? Modano-Stars, Brodeur-Devils, Lidstrom-Redwings, Sundin-Leafs, Iginla-Calgary, Blake-LA, Sakic-Avs, Doan-Phx....prolly more but the new guys like Ovechkin, Crosby etc will still be playing in 15.... ![]() 2) Why not let the pro-athletes take steriods? It enhances performance so wouldn't it enhance my veiwing pleasure and give me better value on my live ticket prices? I concur with Test on this one. Illegal and unsafe. I'd rather have my sport known for its plays more than its boneheads....oh wait...we have those too....but no, no 'roids please. 3) Changes you'd like to see to your favourite leagues? Consistent application of justice when guys misstep. Some of what the NHL doles out is a freakin' joke. IMO the players HAVE to be held accountable for their actions. 4) In the pro-wrestling circles there are these series of DVDs out there called shoot interview videos where a well known wrestler is candidly asked about the behind-the-scenes of their careers. there's no question bypassed. Who in the professional sports field (whether that's NBA, NHL, Football or Baseball) would you love to see and why? well, hockey players are already pretty talkative....I'd say Ovechkin though....I'm completely charmed by him and his demeanor.5) If you could hang out with any pro-athlete past or present who would that be and why. I've had the pleasure of meeting several of my hockey heroes thru the years but never got to meet Cam Neely. 6) What is the darkest moment in all history of sports? So many things it could be...but from MY perspective, the entire year lost to lockout.... 7) let's leave it off on a nice tone. What has been the most fun you ever had at a live sports event? I've been to three NHL All-Star games and had great times at all of 'em... |

1) I agree with what PNLTBX says for the hockey guys. As for other team sports I definitely think Derek Jeter #2 for the N.Y. Yankees, Kobe Bryant #24 for the L.A. Lakers, Allen Iverson #3 for the Philladelphia 76ers, obvisiously Brett Favre #4 for Green Bay Packers, and Peyton Manning #18 for the Colts.
2) I already said it. Let them do drugs. LOL. 3) Sometimes when I'm watching basketball I wish fouls were made harder to count for "and 1s". 4) A bunch, Guy Lafleur, A couple of guys from the 1980's Edmonton Oilers, Bobby Hull, Bob Probert, John Salley and Bill Laimbeer of the early 90's Detriot Pistons, Charles Barkley, Dennis Rodman, and if you could bring back the dead I'd say Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle and Joe Dimaggio. 5) I already said Chris Bosh. 6) The Summer Olympics of 1972 sounds pretty bad but I wasn't of an age at the time to actually remember it and have some emotional affect on me. I'd have to say the 1994 Baseball strike really bugs me even today. I was a huge Expos fan at the time. What a great team denied of their destiny. 7) Winnipeg Jets games as a kid. I'd walk over the old Winnipeg Arena from the bottom of the basement to the highest top floor. I'd always manage to not get caught by security guards and whatnot. It was like I was on an adventure. After the games I'd go outside the players locker rooms and get autographes from my favourites NHL stars. I also went to see a couple of Raptors games in Toronto which I thought we're very fun to attend. |
