Here we did a show on the issues surrounding Mike Vick and how it pertains to the rest of the NFL.

I heard this show. Good points made.
Now, I'm not a football fan, but I do see how the NFL gets a black eye over this. It's the same as how the NHL suffers from an image point of view when one of it's players do something stupid off the ice. What bothered me was the lack of remorse in Vick's voice. He didn't give a flying rat's behind about what he did, it seemed. At least it sure didn't sound like it. As for the league penalizing him: nah. Nevermind. It's enough that he's losing all his bonus money and endorsement deals over this. His contract can be cancelled if the sentence ends up being a long prison term. When he comes out, he'll have to start all over with the NFL, (assuming anybody would still want him.) The league itself doesn't have to move a muscle on this one. Vick has made his own bed.

Check the ownership and there may very well be one or two who would be willing to take a chance on Vick-- think Al Davis in Oakland or Jerry Jones in Dalles. Those two may very well be the owners who'd pick up Vick-- both teams have instability at the QB position (Romo is not for the long term and Russell is still a rookie hold out), they take their own counsel and aren't swayed too much by public opinion.

This is true, but I have a feeling that Al Davis will not be the owner of the Raiders any longer when Vick returns. Tony Romo will write his own destiny this season, and you're right about Jerry Jones. He will take his own counsel, and if he's not convinced that Romo is his guy when Vick gets out, you might be onto something.
