IT'S ON!!!!
Harrison and Woodley will become your worse nightmare.
With the way Pittsburgh has been playing lately, I'm not even all that worried about this game. I hope the Pats aren't taking this game as lightly as me!

Yes, the lie that your team has been living (that you are a serious AFC contender) will be exposed this Sunday.
While I never take any winning opponent lightly, somehow your team fills me with much less dread than in the past.

Rafa Benitez "death" watch: GP25, W13, D5, L7. 45 points and in 4th place, the last Champions League spot. Won the Merseyside derby today, 1-0 despite playing with only 10 men. 12 points from the top of the tables. STILL want Rafa out, though.

Well said, Ed, well said. We will shut the running lanes down and make Cassell try and beat us in the air. Trust me, that won't be an easy task either. It will be a play by play, who gets the long ball fest the whole game. The Steelers are on the advantage edge with this one, defensively.
Chris, I can't believe your not fearing this game.![]()

Yawns @ Steeler fans
Your OL is terrible and we will make you guys pass to beat us. The bad thing is that our secondary is terrible so even if we know you are passing it might not matter![]()
Allow me to expand on my reasoning for taking this game lightly.
The Steelers are currently 23rd in the league in points scored per game, 26th in the league in offensive yards gained per game, 18th in pass yards and 24th in rushing yards.
That's bottom half of the league in every category.
You've lost to the Eagles, Giants and Colts... which tells me that you have trouble winning big games.
You had trouble beating the likes of the Browns, Ravens, Chargers, and Jaguars... which tells me you can be beaten by mediocre teams.
Your offense just isn't explosive enough to think you can win against a team that has any semblance of a defense, and with the games you have left on the schedule (NE, DAL, BAL, TEN, CLE), you'll be lucky if you finish 10-6.
Against New England this weekend, you'll have to find a way to get ahead early, or you won't stand a chance. Have you not been paying attention to the way the Patriots have been playing?
Matt Cassel became the fifth quarterback ever to throw for 400 yards or more in two straight games this past weekend. Randy Moss is making ridiculous catches, and it's leaving Wes Welker open across the middle and in the flat.
Reminicsent of last year, much?
Kevin Faulk is a legitimate enough threat to keep the defense honest, and quite frankly that's all we need from him.
New England played a game against the Jets two weeks ago (those same Jets that are currently considered by many to be the best team in the AFC), in which overtime was needed to declare a winner... and to be honest, a coin flip basically decided the winner of that game.
This past weekend, the Pats put up 48 points and beat the Dolphins by 20. These are the same Dolphins that annihalated the Pats in week three.
Same teams, same players (actually, the Pats have lost some key guys since then), and the outcome was a complete reversal. Why? It's because New England has improved incredibly since then... especially Matt Cassel. There's no way in hell you can deny that.
Not to mention... the Dolphins are also a way better team than they were in week three, and it was still a complete reversal.
Say what you want about the Patriots being a "lie" ... but dude, good luck with that when it's game time. I guarantee that BB and Co. have a pretty well thought-out gameplan, and will likely jump out in front early in the game.
Best of luck making that comeback with your bottom-half-of-the-league offense....
I disagree about our secondary being terrible. Brandon Meriweather is getting better every week, Deltha O'Neal has three INT's already, and James Sanders is building a Rodney-like reputation with some of the hits he delivers. I'll have to look up his injury status though, I know he fell on his tailbone in the last game...
Also, Ellis Hobbs might not have the stats to prove he's having a good year, but we both know he's getting better and better, and offenses are starting to throw away from him.
I disagree about our secondary being terrible.
82 points the last 2 games and when you let Chad Pennington throw for 340 yards, you have issues.
Brandon Meriweather is getting better every week,
I agree but he has turned into a babysitter for our inept corners
Deltha O'Neal has three INT's already
Yeah but he is terrible man.
and James Sanders is building a Rodney-like reputation with some of the hits he delivers.
I like Sanders and agree
Also, Ellis Hobbs might not have the stats to prove he's having a good year, but we both know he's getting better and better, and offenses are starting to throw away from him.
Dude, are we watching the same games? Now that samuel is gone Hobbs gets to cover a teams best WR and his size has been exploited. In addition he constantly takes chances that backfire. i was one of the people that said "screw Samuel, Hobbs is just as good" but this team would be winning the division right now if we could stop the pass(still had Samuel)
IMHO, I liked what I saw from Wheatley in his short time on the field more than Hobbs
We might be seeing different plays from him, but I've seen Hobbs doing a decent job of breaking up passes, despite his size.
I've also noticed that teams have been taking more of a short-pass approach, and throwing opposite field of Ellis more, lately. Whether or not that a direct result of Hobbs' ability to break up a play or not, I can't be sure.
But, I think his speed and awareness has helped us a lot this season.
HO-Hum, the same rapport we are hearing from the same ol' fans that just joined the same old bandwagon.
J/K.
Point made, Chris. I guess we will have to wait and see who the better team will be after Sunday Night. It shall be the Steelers.
Where is Ed when you need him? I guess he is running around like a chicken with his head cut off.![]()
