It's difficult to string words together (that are postable) after a display like the closing minutes of the 3rd period, GLG...

I hope to be more coherent and jubilant after Monday's game...

Turco was doing a great job on Saturday but Stars need to get their PP going.
Hopfully things will be a bit different back home.

Globe and Mail
Quote:
DALLAS -- The verdict came early last night: Dallas Stars forward Mike Ribeiro will not be suspended for his love tap, baseball-style, on Detroit Red Wings goaltender Chris Osgood as time ran out in the Stars' 2-1 loss on Saturday.

Ribeiro received a match penalty for the incident, which meant it was automatically reviewed by the NHL.

Presumably, the league office saw what Stars head coach Dave Tippett did, too - a little provocation from Osgood to set off Ribeiro. And rather than suspend one or both, the league slapped their wrists and said play on.

So tonight, when the Western Conference final playoff series resumes, the Stars will have their leading scorer in the lineup and the Red Wings will have their starting goalie - which is the way both wanted it.

Errr... well, not a good game for the Stars. Defensemen getting undressed really badly in front of Turco; Turco himself letting in a couple he should of had; the Wings fired up after the slash on Ozzy...

And now the Wings are 3-0.

So much for the 80%, eh, Winger?? Looks more like 99% now...

(Sorry, PNL... )

Well 80% were after leading two nothing.

I have to agree now that the percentage looks even better. BUT I'm not taking out a win in advance. Stranger things have happened. Better go for the kill when they have the chance. They did a good job of that against the Avs. Hopefully they can show the same now.

I have to say that Zetterberg and Datsyuk was absolutely amazing last night. If they can play like that I'm not sure any team can stop them.

I have to admit, I can't help thinking a little bit already about a potential matchup in the Stanley Cup finals against the Pens. Man oh man would that be something...
And you will see Z and Dats up against either the Crosby line or the Malkin line. I think they both would get problems if the Euro twins can play like last night.

Oh well, it's still just speculation. I hope the players aren't thinking about this though...

As well you SHOULD like your team. Until this series at least, they've played very well. They faced a lot of adversity and worked through it. They've worked very hard to get this far. It's been no walk in the park for them. They've had tough opponents.

And it's not yet over.

I know it's not likely, but Dallas can still bounce back. The Kitchener Rangers vs. the Belleville Bulls in the OHL playoffs this year is an example of this. There were only sixteen shots stopped by Osgood. More shots on net by Dallas, and the outcome could be very different.

No its not over...but if my team feels the way I do (and that's with me not having been beaten near senseless along the boards), then there isn't much more to provide....then tomorrow will be another handshake line in the AAC that I'll get to witness.

Maybe the year of the rollercoaster has finally gotten to me but I'm friggin' exhausted. Feeling very beat down by everything.
