Ask and ye shall recieve, here at the Scoreboards! Talk about some prompt service!

Ah, where do I start...

My least favorite memory is probably one of the best memories for most Red Wings fans. Second round of the 1996 playoffs, second OT of game 7 between the Blues and Red Wings. Wayne Gretzky makes a bad pass, and it finds its way to the tape of none other than Steve Yzerman, who bolts down the ice, shoots the puck through Murray Baron, past Jon Casey and in. I don't think I've ever felt more defeated in my life.

Another notable moment is the first round of the 2000 playoffs. The Blues finished the season with the best record in hockey, and they fall behind 3-1 in the series to the San Jose Sharks, including a game where Marc Bergevin throws the puck into his own net.

However, the team shows some real grit and fights their way back in to the series, forcing a game 7. The Blues fall behind early, but a goal shortly before the intermission gives the team some life, only to have it completely sucked out of them by another SJ goal, this one from freakin' center ice by Owen Nolan right before the buzzer.

I was pretty young at the time, but I still remember swearing an eternal grudge against the Minensota North Stars because of their win in the 1991 playoffs against the Blues. If the Blues were ever going to win it all, that was the year. Brett Hull, Adam Oates, Scott Stevens, Jeff Brown, Rod Brind'Amour, the Cavallini brothers, Garth Butcher....

Watching the Devils win the Stanley Cup in Reunion in 2000. The only thing that "softened" it a bit was Fetisov coming over to talk with us after nearly everyone had left. My sister was a big Red Wings fan so Papa told her "Go Vings" and shook hands with all of us before he left with his family to go celebrate the victory.

Still really hard to get over...

My least favorite hockey moment came in the spring of 1976, when the reality hit that the Cleveland Crusaders would be no more. They left for Minnesota of the WHA, but folded in midseason. But to me, the day they ceased operations in Cleveland was my worst hockey moment by far. I loved the Crusaders. Still do. But they're not here... anymore. :cry

Well,Jackets are looking ok at moment. They will have a good chance to do something if they can manage to keep both Nash and LeClaire in good shape.
So,cheer up,or just support Oilers.

Well let's see... there was Kerry Fraser's non-call on Gretzky...

Claude "Pepe" Lemieux's hit from behind on Draper...

Domi's elbow on Neidermayer...

Sundin's stick toss over the glass into the audience...

Alan Eagleson's raping of the NHLPA's pension funds...

Eagleson's entry into the Hockey Hall of Fame, despite being the dirtbag he was...

But the worst??

Hiring former NBA executive and clueless twit Gary "Butthead" as the first ever NHL Hockey Commish. The game and us fans have suffered ever since...

Meh...I concur with GLG on that point. There's a reason Bettman is booed in each and every rink he visits. Unanimously and with reckless abandon...
