But if he was at home building paper airplanes and daydreaming of a game played in four sessions on ice with an air-filled bouncing ball, instead of being a clueless NHL commish, the world would be a better place.

Quick - somebody ask him who "Rocket" Richard is, and put his answer on YouTube...

You're right, that one is a really good one for me.

Bad memories.

Losing game 7 in the first round against the Sharks in 1994, after setting a new points record in the regular season.
The whole 95 Stanley Cup series against the Devils.
Lemieux hit on Draper and then getting kicked out of the playoffs in the same game.
(These were all in the days when it felt like the Wings would never win a cup, so they hurt extra back then. And I had only waited since 83).

Limousine crash after the 97 Cup Victory.

Olympics 2002 and the loss against Belarus for Sweden. That one, I still to this day have a hard time talking about. But it's more recent as well.

Other stuff is too recent to really place them in the same company. Yet anyway.

Game 7 of the '97 quarterfinals, Sens-Sabres. After Alexei Yashin wins a faceoff into his own net in the waning minutes of regulation to force OT, Derek Plante fires a wrist shot a little over five minutes into the extra period that hits the top of Ron Tugnutt's glove, and bounces in.

Honourable mentions go to Steve Thomas' OT goal in game 6 of the 2000 quarterfinals between the Sens and Leafs, and that God-awful goal that Nieuwendyk scored on Lalime in game 7 of their 2004 series
