Yeah, the Bengals were probably guaranteed to take Ellis at 9 if the Saints hadn't traded up. Don't know the details of the Saints-Patriots trade, though.
Apparently Jacksonville just traded up to Baltimore's spot.

Saints and Pats swapped first rounders this year, and the Saints sent a 3rd rounder in exchange for a fifth rounder.
Harvey makes sense.

Yeah, the first seven picks were pretty much guaranteed. From here on out it becomes a crapshoot. Harvey I don't like here, but whatever.

OLB options for the Pats are starting to go. Presumably, the Patriots would take a cornerback, their other need, but they probably should trade down again if they can.
Ravens received two third rounders and a fourth rounder from the Jags in exchange for the first round pick swap.

agreed. i think NE was hoping rivers would slip through. i see them taking a CB now but we all know the CBs this year are graded out pretty evenly. makes sense for NE to trade down and get some extra picks.

LOL. They showed the Bengals draft party, and it was just...nothing. No reaction. None. What the Bengals really needed, and what they've been trying to get this offseason, was a defensive tackle. They swung and missed twice in free agency, and got beaten to Ellis. Rivers will help them, but he's not what they desperately need.
