If there is only one mock draft that said that, and the guy who posted it just so happens to be running a blog that seems based around the school, I think that speaks volumes about just how pointless it was. Fact of the matter is, Chris Johnson was not a first round pick, nor should the Titans have taken him.

Falcons agreed to terms with No. 3 pick Matt Ryan. NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports it's a six-year deal worth a maximum value of $72 million. $34.75 million is guaranteed.

That's more than JaMarcus Russell got last year. Still this is an upset, considering Ryan's agent is well known for holding players out of camp. The effect of holdouts can be overrated, but it's crucial for a rookie signal-caller. Ryan will still need a huge camp to overtake Chris Redman as the Week 1 starter, but we expect him to take over during the season.

I still stand by my opinion that this is going to continue to hurt the Falcons.

I know what you mean. Atlanta desperately needed a QB, but they better pray that Matt Ryan steps up to the plate and isn't the slouch that you, me, and others think he is, because that's an absurdly large contract to give to him, and it'll compound their problems (because they probably should've taken Glenn Dorsey instead, and Atlanta will be stuck with a horrible contract) if Ryan doesn't pan out.
