They are being a classless act and running up the score without using any of the shotclock. And to make it more classless, the UNC fans will be bragging about running up the score tomorrow.
ATTENTION UNC, BE CLASSY AND TAKE TIME OFF THE CLOCK!!! |

Why would their backups milk the clock? They want the NCAA tournament experience too. They aren't doing anything wrong. Now if they had their first string in still, it would be a different story, but it's their backups and bench players.

I don't get the whole problem with running up the score in sports. The Patriots dealt with some of the same issues in the media last year.In my opinion they are all men and athetes, in other words the score can only be run up if the opposing defense allows it. I think it's classless to take it easy or show mercy, play the game from bell to bell.

So I'm sure you had a big issue with Duke running up the score 121-56 over NC Central in their first game of the year?

I didn't see that game so i couldn't tell you if they slowed down or not.
Look through the replies of this "baseball blog post" and see how ugly it gets between UNC fans and non-unc fans Blogging With Bryan C. Hanks : Kinston Free Press |

It should when you prod at Carolina fans, yet have no response to game where Duke ran it up even more so than what UNC did. Again, what more would you have liked UNC to do, have their walkons take 35 seconds violations? Of course when given the opportunity to play the walkons will want to score, it's just human nature. Please get over the hate of UNC and actually see things from an objective perspective.
In that game Duke didn't slow it down at all, as they scored 67 (!) in the 2nd half.
