Angry Well, we finally got a team worth murdering the bracket with an upset.

TAMPA, Fla. (March 21) - It was the shot of his life, the shot of the tournament and maybe even one for the ages.

John Raoux, AP

2008 Ty Rogers, Western Kentucky - The Hilltoppers blew a big lead in the second half to fifth-seeded Drake, but Rogers made that a footnote when he drilled a 26-foot 3-pointer in between three defenders for the 101-99 overtime win.

''It kind of worked out good,'' Ty Rogers said, in the understatement of the day.

Rogers hit a desperation 26-foot 3-pointer with three defenders in his face and no time on the clock, and 12th-seeded Western Kentucky turned in the upset of the NCAA tournament, beating Drake 101-99 in overtime Friday in the first round of the West Regional.

The fifth-seeded Bulldogs (28-5) overcame a 16-point deficit in the final 8 minutes of regulation and led 99-98 after Jonathan Cox's two free throws with 5.7 seconds to play. But Tyrone Brazelton raced across midcourt and kicked it to Rogers, whose 3 from the wing gave the Hilltoppers (28-6) their first tournament victory since 1995.

There we go, someone had to throw a dagger of murder into the bracket. This one got to sting most of the participants in the contests around America. Damn, Western Kentucky. . No one seen this coming.

I didn't have Western Ky., but many people did. They were only 4.5 point underdogs, which should've been a red flag right there. The much bigger upset was 13 SD over 4 UConn. Either way though, that part of the bracket is going to be wrong on pretty much everyone's picks, as I highly doubt anyone here had either SD or Western Ky. in the Sweet 16.

Every stinking year, a 13 seed always seem to cause a ruckus on the bracket and boom San Diego did it. I was going back and forth on that one and it paid me dearly to change it back to UCONN. . I SUCK AT THIS ANYMORE!!

I thought I had picked Western Kentucky for the upset, but apparently I hadn't. Also, UConn losing destroys my West bracket (I had them as the final four team out of that bracket...I was trying to pick someone other than UCLA).

So you root against Davidson the entire SoCon tournament, and then pull for them now?

Drake is a bit of an upset for me as I had them in the sweet 16. But all the rest of the picks I've gotten wrong (including UConn) I had going out in the second round so I am ok still.

I wanted two teams from Socon in tourny and after my team(App) lost i went with any team that faced them. Wouldn't you do the same if you conference is useally a one bid conference and you have a team that's almost a lock to get an at-large bid?
