As a Baylor alumnus, I hope you're right!

Baylor is a team that is capable of beating almost anyone. They are also capable of losing games they should win. They play an up-tempo, perimeter-oriented game. They have 4 guys who average at least 10 points a game and they have a lot of depth in the backcourt. If their outside shots are falling, they can be very tough to beat. However, when their outside shots are NOT falling, they struggle.

The Bears have a tendency to get out to a slow start in the 1st half and then catch fire in the 2nd half. If they can keep it close or have a lead at the half, they should be in very good shape because I think their tempo can wear teams down a bit as the game drags on.

I actually don't have any upsets in the first round of this one, other than the 8-9 game, which isn't an upset. Come the second round though, I have WV taking Duke out and Purdue knocking Xavier out. UCLA vs. WV in the Elite 8, with UCLA taking it.

Duke is the weak sister among the 2-seeds, as Belmont demonstrated. However, this game could serve as the Devils' wake-up call. K's new offense has turned out to be something of a bust, but if he can get his boys to tighten down on defense, forcing very ugly games, they have a good chance to make the Sweet 16 and a decent chance of playing in the regional final.

That's quite a big if, though. I get the feeling that there's something wrong with this team. I don't know what it is, but they just don't seem ready for the post-season.

It could just be that age and outside commitments have taken their toll on Krzyzewski. He just doesn't seem to have the fire in the belly any more.

Indeed, I'm fairly certain that no one had either SD or Western Ky. going to the sweet 16, so I don't feel so bad.

#13 University of San Diego 70, #4 University of Connecticut 69 (OT)!

So it's #12 W. Kentucky vs. #13 USD in the 2nd round. Who had that match-up?!

BTW: USD is my 2nd-oldest's school, and she knows Gyno Pomaire (2 classes together), so she's elated, and I'm happy for them.

How the hell can you say K's new offense is a bust when it the best basketball Duke has played in quite sometime?
