Default Pryor Picks Ohio State

Obviously huge news here in Pittsburgh. Personally, I'm just glad it's over. I was tired of hearing about it...

Quote:
The recruiting battle for Terrelle Pryor is over and Ohio State is the winner.

Pryor, the all-everything quarterback at Jeannette High School, announced today he will attend Ohio State. The announcement was made at a news conference at Jeannette's school auditorium.
Pryor makes his pick: It's Ohio State

He's a helluva an athlete, but from what I've seen and heard (since this kid started wearing diapers basically), he reeks of primadona.

Oh well, I still wish the product of Pittsburgh all the best. Hopefully he keeps his head on straight and makes our city proud. He's following in a long line, from Unitas to Montana to Marino.

He's either going to be a dominant force or an awful distraction. As pittsburgh-87 said, he reeks of Primadona but that's just the impression of how he handled his decision. That could just be how it played out in the media. If he ends up being another Maurice Clarett, they can cut him. I don't see how any school would have passed on this guy.

Yeah, passing on him was not an option. Like I said, he's a heck of an athlete. Unbelievable basketball player.

IMO, I think once he hits the college level and enters the Ohio State locker room, they will bring him down to earth. At least that's what I'm hoping. I want him to succeed just as much as Ohio State fans because the kid is from Pittsburgh.

Be awesome if the Steelers could draft him right out of Ohio State when he declares for the NFL draft, that is, if he can manage. I wonder how good he be as a wide receiver or a slash player like Randle El was before he departed?

to this signing.

I didn't get to experience the circus locally, but I did somewhat follow it online (@ ESPN).

However, I have faith in Tressel, and the OSU locker room, that they'll straighten him out if there in fact is a problem.

Ohio State over Penn State, Oregon, and *wait for it* Michigan.

While he could've been big time at Michigan, I think OSU was best for his development to be a pro (and I think this, along with the OSU locker room, and chance at a national championship this year) was a main reson for going there.

Agreed. We here in Columbus won't turn him down. But 'the vest' will keep close tabs on him.

i think he was better suited for michigan's style of offense much better than OSU's,not to mention he could be starting there his freshman year.OSU has boeckman who's already brought them close to the promise land so it's doubful pryor gets any work in this year unless it's a tim tebow type role.we all saw what rich rodriguez did to pat white and the WV passing game, and i think he and pryor could've put mich back in the bigtime with his true passing ability and footwork.all-in-all i think this is a pretty bad decision for pryor
