Default NBA Mock Draft 2008

One of my writers and I did our own lottery and then did the NBA Draft. Here's what we came up with.

1) Clippers: PG Derrick Rose
2) Heat: PF Michael Beasley
3) Timberwolves: PG
O. J. Mayo
4) Grizzlies: PF Brook Lopez
5) Bobcats: C DeAndre Jordan
6) Knicks: PG Jerryd Bayless
7) Sonics: SG Eric Gordon
8) Bucks:
PG Danilo Gallinari
9) Nets (via trade with CHI): C Kevin Love
10) Warriors: SF Anthony Randolph

No Darrell Arthur in the top 10? That's just crazy talk, he'll be a way better pro than Love.

We've got him going #15 to the Wizards. I think that's reasonable.

Personally, I think Nicholas Batum is a top 10 talent. I don't think he falls to 18. Then again...I thought Danny Granger was a top 5 talent and was drafted 17.

Did you just randomly pick the order in which the teams are drafting? Under your scenario Seattle should be picking 4th, not 5th.

We did our own lottery. We drew the names out and everything, using the actual percentages each team has at winning the lottery to figure up how many tickets each team had in our bucket.

The draft order after the lottery picks, are not in order. First of all the Suns have the 15th pick(via trade with the Hawks).

I would check this website: nbadraft.net and see the draft order.

Alot of people were scared off by his knee problems. But I do agree on the Batum part, he shouldn't fall past 10.

Even so...him falling to 17 was shocking when you take into account that there reports where the doctors said his knee was fine. I would have taken a chance on Granger's bad knee over some players who were drafted ahead of him.

Someone's blunder turned into Indy's gold. Perhaps the same is true for Batum since I'm surprisingly seeing him drop on some mocks. I personally have him as the best prospect after Rose, Beasley, and Mayo.
