He's going to New York in 2010 no matter what whether it's the Knicks or the Nets. It's one of the worst kept secrets in the NBA. That plus his shoe deals double if he's playing on a team in NYC or LA.

LA might be a better choice, if he decides to go to either Nets or Knicks then it will be a career suicide.
He is being treated like a god in Cleveland since he is a homeboy, he will be just another player in New York since the god of Big Apple will always be Babe Ruth. Just look at A-Rod, it this the situation that LeBron wants to get into?

Yankees and Knicks are two different beasts. Lebron on the Knicks would be like a god in new york. A-rod wasn't brought on to be the savior of the franchise. Plus he has this little tendency of disappearing in big moments which Lebron is not prone to doing.

Knicks had their glory days but it was not for the last 30 years.
Ewing was their great hope until the medias started to pile on him and force him all the way to Seattle.
LeBron will have a few good years in Big Apple but Yorkers are not very patient peoples. If LeBron cannot deliver within 5 years then he will feel it afterwards.

A-rod has a bit of Ewing in him. Ewing pulled that disappearing act in big games and his teams always seemed to do better when he was injured. Lebron never shies away from the moment. New York and Boston are pegged as hard places to play, but the fans are consistent in that if they see you going 100% all the time and going hard for everything, they'll love you no matter what. Lebron couldn't make a smarter pick than going to the Knicks and if he wins a championship there, they won't forget that.

I'm with Ghost on this one, I think he'll be in New York...but playing for the Knicks, not the Nets. James doesn't want to be the best player in the league, but he'd rather the NBA's biggest star. What better place to do it in? To take a franchise back to what it once was screams movie scrpit to me, something I think LeBron would love to have.

LA would be a more ideal place than NY, but I guess since Kobe is still in town that James will not be.

Like I said, I did not dismiss the idea for LeBron to play in NY. I just think it will be a bad choice and a career suicide.

Why would he want to risk playing second fiddle to Kobe? The Lakers won't have the cap space to sign him and Kobe and Gasol will still be there, plus he wouldn't get to be the guy. The Clippers.... well let's just put it this way, Lebron is not going to the Clippers. He's an east coast guy, he'll almost certainly stay in the area.

i'm gonna have to agree with Meds.while i do think he's going to the knicks,i think it's a dumb move.he'd be going from a team primed to at the very least make the playoffs to a team that is worse than what the cavs had when lebron was drafted there.he'd be starting all over with a horrible roster and a poor chance to win anything, yet alone a championship.that fact alone is why new yorkers crucify their athletes, they get paid big money to win championships and just don't get it done.look at the yankees right now, fans are tearing that team apart because they havent won a championship in EIGHT years.the only one's not catching slack are the young guys(joba chamberlain and melky cabrera) and derek jeter because he was there for every ring they won in the 90's.when lebron goes to new york it will be career suicide

A lot can change in a couple years without Isaiah. What if the Knicks end up with Rose in the draft this year and he develops into a good point guard. It'd be much better for Lebron to be in an offense where he's finishing the plays rather than starting them.
