i guess since we have a thread for pitchers we gotta have 1 for hitters right

so who is it?

Bonds?

Mantle?

Williams?

Ruth?

i gotta throw mine out there and say ted williams....still the best damn hitter ever

Mantle or Mays. What makes them even more incredible is that they were both two of the best defensive center fielders of all-time as well.

Ted Williams for sure, Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle hit that plateau also. I am sure there is scores of names that belong here. Pete Rose believe it or not.
