Default The Ultimate Fighter 7: Team Rampage vs Team Griffin

The upcoming seventh season of “The Ultimate Fighter” debuts on April 2, and the show will likely conclude with a live finale on Saturday, June 21.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Forrest Griffin will officially coach the seventh season of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show and will face off sometime in 2008 with the UFC’s light heavyweight championship title on the line, according to UFC president Dana White.

Additionally, the finale will likely feature a main event of non-cast members, such as the Roger Huerta vs. Clay Guida fight the headlined The Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale. However, the main event will not be a title fight between UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson and “The Ultimate Fighter 1” winner Forrest Griffin, who serve as coaches this season. The two fighters are expected to headline a pay-per-view event later this summer.

Yeah know, I kind of am against fighters with big fights in front thme such as title matches doing the coaching thing. I would think both fighters especially Forrest should be getting ready mentally and physically for such of a big opportunity.

Just my $.02. I know it is good for TV but really is it such of a good thing for the fighters?

I like the way they've set up this season with them fighting to get into the house. Make them fight to earn their way onto the show.

I thought Rampage would be more colourful, but I guess there's not much for him to talk about when they're watching the fights. Hopefully when they get into the house things will change.

Fortunately, they tape the show well in advance of their fight. The shows are not live, so they DO have plenty of time to prepare for their fight against each other. Good observation, just a little mis-informed.
