On to the finals after a tough 6-gamer against the Muskegon Fury. Funky schedule, the same as the Musky series, but it benefits Port Huron as far as getting fans into the building. Finals Schedule Game 1, Friday, at Memorial Coliseum, 8 p.m. Game 2, Saturday, at Port Huron, 7:30 p.m. Game 3, Sunday, at the Coliseum, 6 p.m. Game 4, May 7, at Port Huron, 7 p.m. Game 5, May 8, at the Coliseum, 7:30 p.m.* Game 6, May 10, at Port Huron, 7:30 p.m.* Game 7, May 12, at the Coliseum, 7:30 p.m.* * If necessary |

Icehawks lead the series 2-1.
Game 1 - was a complete spanking by the Hawks. Out played the K's in every facet of the game. Game 2 - went to OT, w/ a 30 ft. slapper being the game winner. Komet's outplayed the hawks, but came up short. A total of 3 power plays, 2 for PH and 1 for the Komets. Game 3 - saw the Komet's back in season form, and a 5-1 W. Series goes back to Port Huron on Wednesday and then back to Ft. Wayne on Thursday for game 5. These 2 teams hate each other. AWESOME! |

Thanks for the update Chaulker! I kinda figured that if Port Huron didn't hate the Komets already, they soon would. The Komets have always been the team that's the hardest to plaly against. From what you're saying, they are running true to form. I didn't make it to the Jungle this year, next year it's on my must do list...

Komet's fell behind 3 games to 1, before storming back to take games 5 & 6!
Now we have the greatest event in all of sports, Game 7 tonight. There expecting a sell-out at the 10,400 seat Memorial Coliseum, only 1,500 tix left as of this morning. Either way, it's been a great playoffs. Port Huron has seen 2 packed houses in a usually questionable hockey town. Will the fans be back next season? Anyways, tonight, it's going to be rockin! Highlight's from the previous games can be found here. Good luck to both teams. LET'S GO KOMET'S!!!!!! |

The 2007-2008 IHL season is over. The Fort Wayne Komets won the Turner Cup by defeating the Port Huron Icehawks 4-3 in a seven game series. The Komets were down 3 games to 1 and then won 3 straight to claim the cup. The final game went to the 3rd OT before a winner could be determined. Info on the Komets and the IHL can be found at these sites:
