Exclamation Kings sign Swedish Elite League Top Goalie Erik Ersberg to 1 year contract

Translation from Altavista:
BECOMES KING in NHL? According to information to Sportbladet is Erik Ersberg near a transition to NHL-klubben Los angeles Kings.

Era mountains to Kings
Only details from typing on LA Kings
Yet another national team goalkeeper disappears from the top division.
Erik Ersberg, 25, is outermostly near an one oar contract with Los angeles Kings.
Already Färjestad's Daniel Henriksson have done clearly with Russian Sibir Novosibirsk. Timrå's Johan Backlund uppvaktas of both Nashville and Pittsburgh.
Now is HV 71: s Erik Ersberg only details from typing on for Los angeles Kings.
Some as means that all three sek's målvakter from WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in Moscow with bigest probability disappears from the top division.
According to information to Sportbladet has Ersberg been offered a two road contract that gives him 500 000 dollars if he takes a place in Los angeles Kings. Becomes that playing in farmarlaget Manchester Monarchs falls the salary to 70 000 dollars for a season.
Era mountain does not want to to confirm which klubb the acts about.
- I have actually no comments before all is clear, but the feeling is well that the is quite near, says he.
Erik Ersberg might take the stage forward as HV 71: s first goalkeeper when Stefan lives moved to Detroit last summer. And made one's debut in three sek during Karjala cup.

Top Goalie in Swedish Elite League this season. Holmqvist (TB) and Lundqvist (NYR, 3 years in a row) won the award before him.

Im not sure if he can help us.
He played a great season but it could have been a fluke.
But the risk we take is next to zero and he might be an asset.
He cant be worse than Cloutier was

Sorry about the late reply Albi, but here's my take on Ersberg.

He's a good youngish goalie with promising looking future. He's already got some good experience from playing in the World Championships for Team Sweden and also becoming the starter for championship contender HV71 in the Swedish Elite League.

He's similar to most modern goalies in his style, he has the butterfly technique but combines it with a bit of stand up as well. Kind of a mesh of styles that way. He's quick and agile and works hard in net. Still, he's not a finished product. Still improving. It's only the last while that he's started to turn heads.

Talent wise I don't think he'll ever reach the heights of Henrik Lundqvist but perhaps closer to Holmqvist, early to tell of course, but somewhere close to that even though he's not there yet.

So if you bring him over already for next season, count on him needing some time in the AHL.

Based on that description, he's already #2 on the depth chart...pretty friggin' sad.

Honestly not sure how your depth chart is. But most European goalies need some time to adjust to the smaller rinks etc. It's a much bigger adjustment for a goalie than it is for a regular player.

He still has a road ahead of him. Can't expect him to step in and get a top two spot on the team right away. A lot will depend on how he reacts to the smaller rinks the different style of play and all that. Only time will tell.

How would you compare Erik Ersberg to Jonathan Bernier?

Bernier would be #2 right now if he were a year or two older.

I expect Bernier to be in Manchester either next season or the year after...remember, he is only 18/19 years old.
