Default Tejeda why lie?

Miguel why on Earth did you lie about your age and for SO long? Big deal you're 33. You've made lots of money. Does being 2 years younger really mean that much? I'm totally confused by this story.

Remember a couple years ago in Spring Training when a bunch of guys from the Dominican all of a sudden became older? Tejada should have been included with that group.

If you wanted to watch the interview where he got busted....

As for why...if he's two years older than he was he wouldn't have been considered as good of a prospect and would have gotten less money and not as great of a push to the big leagues.

What's funny to me is that this was uncovered at Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia the same day that myself and another had press passes for TSB and were doing an interview on field.

"prospectwise" there's a huge difference between 17 and 19.a 17 year old hasn't hit his "muscular prime" whereas a 19 year is really in it.as for why he didnt say something sooner,he just signed a huge contract a few years ago and 2 years still would've made a huge difference when he signed it.he signed a 6 year deal in 2004 and had teams known he's 2 years older he probably wouldn't have gotten a 6 year deal seeing as he'd be in his upper thirties when the contract would run out.on top of that an upper 30's SS is never a good thing for club, especially with it being tejada, and he's always said he doesn't want to switch positions
