Both right.
Besides being the last game for the Jets, it was also the last game as an NHL head coach for their coach. He did go on to work with the Leafs as an assistant for a couple of years before returning to the WHL where he had previously been very successful. The starting goalie is still in the NHL and since his Jet days has experienced the best of times (a Stanley Cup win) and the worst of times (the last two seasons). The last Jet goal was scored by a smallish offensive-minded defenceman whose 500 game NHL career saw him play with the Rangers, Whalers, Oilers, Senators, Penguins and finally the Jets/Coyotes. |

Good guess. You got it.
I'm out of good clues so try these: The Jets' last coach who previosly coached the Islanders shares his last name with that of a famous TV cartoon family. His first name is not Homer or Bart however. The guy who scored the Jets' last goal shares his first name with the guy whose name was shouted out whenever he entered the bar on Cheers. He also has almost the same last name as a TV action hero played by Richard Dean Anderson. |

Heh - slightly different spelling though.
Normie MacIver. Pride of the '92-93 Sens. There was a Simpson who was an assistant with the Leafs? Jeez, think I'd remember that, but I don't. Terry? (Name sounds distantly familiar. Don't know why. Barry?) |
