By MAC ENGEL The initial negative effects of the Cowboys' 13-3 season are beginning to be felt.
According to a league source, the Miami Dolphins are expected to name Cowboys offensive line/assistant head coach Tony Sparano to be their next head coach. The Dolphins could officially announce Sparano's hiring early next week, the source said, but Sparano will not leave the Cowboys until their season is over. The Dolphins can't hire Sparano until they comply with the NFL's policy of interviewing a minority candidate, which they are scheduled to do Monday when they talk to Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. Sparano interviewed with new Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland in Irving on Saturday. Former Cowboys coach Bill Parcells, who is now the Dolphins' vice president of football operations, was not present. Sparano, 46, came to the Cowboys as the tight ends coach in 2003, Parcells' first season with the team. He was eventually promoted to offensive line coach and was the assistant offensive coordinator last season. The Dolphins' interest in Cowboys didn't end with Sparano. The team also added Brian Gaine, Dallas' assistant director of pro scouting, to its scouting department Saturday. The only other Cowboys assistant coach to interview for head coaching vacancies is offensive coordinator Jason Garrett; he talked to the Falcons on Friday and the Ravens on Saturday. FoxSports.com reports that the Dolphins have hired Dallas assistant head coach Tony Sparano to be their next head coach.
It took a little while, but Sparano appeared to be Bill Parcells' guy from minute one. Look for a discpline-heavy approach from the former offensive line coach. Sparano called the plays for Bill Parcells in 2006 for the Cowboys, and their offense was run-heavy, but liked to throw deep. Jan. 16 - 9:44 am et Source: FoxSports.com

If Garrett can be convinced to stick around as the Offensive Coordinator there is no doubt that Wade will be on a very short leash next year. I think anything short of a NFC Title Game would mean he'd be fired.
