Yes the CFL prediction pool, after missing half a season will return for next week. Below I have copied & pasted the rules Colin wrote up with a few edits for clarity. length and to adapt for 8 teams in the league this year.
******** The Rules Each week a thread will be started which lists the games for that week. Each participant will then predict a winner for each game and list each game in their order of confidence. The game that you are most confident about will be the first game you list, the game you the second most confident about will be listed second, the game you the third most confident about will be listed third, and so on. On the day of the first game of the week, the thread will be locked. Points Points will be awarded if you correctly predict the winner of a game. You will be awarded 10 points if you have a perfect week. The number of points you will be awarded for correctly picking the winner of a game will be based on the confidence level you placed on that game. The scoring system will go as follows: On weeks that there are 4 games 7 points will be award for correctly predicting the winner of the game you are the most confident in. 5 points will be award for correctly predicting the winner of the game you are the second most confident in. 3 points will be award for correctly predicting the winner of the game you are the third most confident in. 1 points will be award for correctly predicting the winner of the game you are least confident in. An Example Let's say these were thegames one week- Thu, Jun 26 Calgary at Edmonton 9:00pm Fri, Jun 27 Winnipeg at Ottawa 7:30pm Sat, Jun 28 B.C. at Saskatchewan 7:00pm Mon, Jun 30 Hamilton at Toronto 6:00pm If I predict: Calgary over Edmonton Saskatchewan over B.C. Hamilton over Toronto Winnipeg over Montreal and the winners are Calgary, Saskatchewan, Hamilton, and Winnipeg I would be awarded 26 points. 16 points for my correct wins (7+5+3+1) and a 10 point bonus for a perfect week. If B.C. won then I would get 11 points (7 for Calgary, 3 for Hamilton & 1 for Winnipeg) For 3 game weeks- 5 points will be award for correctly predicting the winner of the game you are the most confident in. 3 points will be award for correctly predicting the winner of the game you are the second most confident in. 1 points will be award for correctly predicting the winner of the game you are the least confident in. Any questions? Not sure how to play? Ask them here. If I don't start the next week's thread by Tuesday please feel free to do so. Above all have fun--there's no money on the line-it's all about bragging rights. |
