Default Austin is gone.

TSN : CFL - Canada's Sports Leader=

So it's a no-brainer. why wouldn't he go? play at home and dooble the $$? At least he brought us another coupe de grey.

Classy move by Tillman to let him out of his contract. Not so classy move by Austin not to honor the terms of his contract that he signed IMHO.

Actually he cut his salary in half, CFL coaches make between 250k-300k a year while an NCAA assistant makes about 150k. But still a good move on his part, he could one day coach the team and then after that, who knows.

Ritchie Hall, your time has come, lead us back to the promise land.

this happens in sports all the time. it's no different if a player takes off to go play in the nfl.

the other thing is this: he was a coach, the players are still here, the assistant coaches are still here, the waterboy is still here.... he wasn't the only reason why we won.

As long as we have Kerry, I have no worries.

Actually I don't like that either (ie., players holding out for a better contracts, players holding out for a trade, etc.,)...just think one should honor the agreements they make (I mean, it's not like he's been the Rider coach for decades now - he wants out of a deal he just signed one year ago).

The team did give him permission.

But not surprising--this time Austin leaves Regina on his terms.
Not like last time.
